Traditional Rumford Fireplaces are known to have a wide front, narrow back, shallow depth and a height almost as tall or taller than its width. The aerodynamic throat and smoke chamber creates a greater efficiency than more common fireplace designs. The Retiring Tipi logs have been designed to fit within the traditional Rumford Fireplace dimensions that can be found in the chart below. The logs can be used in other fireplaces, but may require sizing up or adding logs to adequately fill your fireplace opening.
